About the project

Cal Poly’s experimental farm needed a reliable source of electricity away from the grid. The mobile solar project brought electrical design and mechanical integration together in a system that could travel across challenging terrain.

Electrical design and mechanical integration

  • Led electrical design and integration for the mobile solar power system.
  • Designed circuit schematics and collaborated on CAD-based mechanical integration.
  • Created and maintained the electrical bill of materials and component specifications.

Team coordination and fabrication

  • Coordinated work across electrical and mechanical sub-teams.
