About the project

This conversion brings battery design, motor control, and mechanical fabrication together in an electric dirtbike. The work spans a custom lithium-ion pack, drivetrain integration, and machined components.

Battery pack and drivetrain

  • Aided in the design and implementation of a custom lithium-ion battery pack.
  • Integrated the pack with a BLDC motor controller and three-phase electric motor.
  • Currently building a custom 25s8p battery pack using EVE INR18650 cells.
  • Each cell has a maximum discharge rating of 10 A and a capacity of 3,500 mAh. The planned pack power output is approximately 7.3 kW.

Motor mount and machining

  • Milled a custom motor mount and machined parts for the conversion.
